8 Signs Your Lungs Might Be Failing


Your lungs make you struggle along with your whole body. Normal COPD ailment includes chronic bronchitis, emphysema, asthma, and cystic fibrosis. But there are some other conditions that can cause respiratory failures and breathing problems for example interstitial lung diseases that blemish the tissues present in between the air bags of your lungs. 1. Constant coughing
If your cough is not going away and coming with blood, fever, or mucus than this might be a problem. And if you are a smoker then you should feel more concerned about the situation because this could be the reason of emphysema or chronic bronchitis. If you feel harder and harder to breath due to coughing too much, you should consult with your doctor before it gets too late.

2. Feeling out of energy
Do you feel like tired and out of energy while doing normal routine tasks? Or out of breathe after a single flight of stairs? Your body cells need enough oxygen to generate more energy to keep yourself running but your lungs are not bringing enough amount of oxygen, your body starts to slog. Low energy in the body may also start a malicious cycle that includes fatigue, low stamina and poor form of every day task.

3. Finding it difficult to breathe
It is often said that aging might cause shortness of breath but that’s not always true. If you are suddenly feeling shortness of breath without any actual known reason then you should head to the doctor to get your lungs checked. It is stated by the experts that the lungs might feel difficulty in emptying out when you have breathing problems because it causes too much air struck around your chest. Even if this is not an issue than sick lungs can cause gasping for doing nothing and even not providing enough amount of oxygen to the body.

4. Feeling confused and dazed all the time
A normal human brain uses 15% to 20% of the whole body’s oxygen to keep the thinking normal and straight. And if your level of oxygen is not enough due to your lungs are not delivering enough amount of it than you might get your thoughts muddled. It is also said by the experts that higher levels of carbon dioxide and low levels of oxygen can cause one to be sleepy and confused.


5. Losing weight for no apparent reason
Some progressive lung diseases bring a lot of problems to the whole body and this can make you lose a lot of pounds quite unexpectedly. And every time you lose weight doesn’t mean you have lost fats; it could be muscles or some nutrients as well. Eating could be difficult if you have any problem regarding breathing or other respiratory problems.

6. Constant chest pains
Chest pain is usually linked with heart problems but it can also be due to lung disorders. They don’t let your nerves pain but the inside lining of your chest can be hurt due to it. Inflammation in the chest can irritate it and can cause pain. Your muscles could also be strain from coughing and it might be due to lung collapsed. Some people also has cavities in the lungs that bursts the air in the lungs and cause chest pain.

7. Your skin colour changes
Red blood cells in the body give your skin a healthy glow and pinkish colour which is always preferable, as these cells carry oxygen. If any part of your body like lips, toes or fingers are turning grayish or bluish than this might be due to the cause that they aren’t getting enough oxygen via cells. This is also due to lung diseases.

8. Gasping while breathing
If you feel like gasping badly while breathing then this could be due to asthma or emphysema. This happens when your airways are blocked. If this happens more often or again and again then you should head to your doctor because this might be due to having any severe lung disorder.
